Two Wheel Group, LLC was founded by Jon-Erik Burleson in the summer of 2017. “I started Two Wheel Group because I love working with passionate companies that are brand-focused in the two-wheeled space,” stated Burleson.
Christy LaCurelle was brought in as a partner in early 2018. Together the two have set out to help the two-wheeled industry thrive by supporting the goals of their clients in both the bicycle and motorcycle space. The duo worked together for 14 years before launching Two-Wheel Group and have a combined skillset that aids the success of each of their clients. Burleson continues, “We focus on companies that want to grow and engage in their sport and have shown a leadership in development inside their industry. We enjoy helping business owner’s succession plan and execute experiential events while educating them on becoming better and more influential leaders in their space.”
I have been living my life on two wheels almost since birth. My father is 8-time National Enduro Champion Dick Burleson. I grew up traveling to races with my family and started riding my BMX bike before I can remember. Like many motorcyclists, I was hooked, riding on a Honda 50 in the field behind my house. I like riding almost anything on two wheels and spend as much time on my bicycles as I do on my motorcycles.
I was convinced to begin a career in the motorcycle industry from my mentor and former KTM President Rod Bush. Throughout my tenure at KTM North America Inc., I've continued to take time from my schedule to enjoy the ride. I've been an off-road enthusiast for years, and most recently, I've been taking my Husqvarna motocross bike along with my four kids in a truck loaded with motorcycles to the local Southern California tracks. I also love racing mountain bikes and have been accused of taking the +40 class a little too seriously.
A life on two wheels is an exciting way to live. I believe success is a result of focus on execution. Having a passion for what you do, and expecting excellence of yourself and those around you, is an energized way to work and live. Being able to work and live in the two-wheel space is something I love and appreciate every day!
Like JEB, from childbirth I was surrounded by motorcycles. My dad, uncles, grandpa and cousins all raced. I have always loved motorcycles but early on realized my talent in riding would not take me as far as my passion would in making a difference in this sport.
My career has been focused on youth development programs in the two-wheeled space. I have extensive Motorsports and marketing experience in road racing, off-road and motocross disciplines. I have managed race teams, run marketing departments, organized multiple motorsports events for consumers, dealers and vendors and most importantly have spread my love and passion for two wheels to those around me through each new initiative.
I am fortunate to have spent my entire professional career around two-wheels. I love the outdoors and the feeling of freedom that riding a motorcycle or bicycle brings. My family and I ride regularly and rarely have an adventure that doesn’t involve two-wheels. I’m an advocate for improved rider safety and proper coaching, and thus, have been actively involved in The Kurt Caselli Foundation and the United States Motorcycle Coaching Association.
